2021 Translating Europe Forum

The 8th edition of the Translating Europe Forum brought together language professionals, industry representatives, academics and public institutions from across Europe and beyond.

The main theme of the 2021 Forum was automation and collaboration. With increasingly short deadlines and growing volumes of content, translation has become a more collaborative and technology-driven profession. The event provided a space to reflect on these changes and to exchange experiences and good practices.

Discussions focused on how collaboration works in modern translation projects, the challenges of teamwork in the translation profession, and the role of automation in translation workflows. Participants also explored how technology can support cooperation between professionals and improve efficiency while maintaining quality.

The 2021 Translating Europe Forum was held in a virtual format. The programme combined keynote speeches, panel discussions and networking opportunities, allowing participants to engage and interact despite the online setting.
