Adriano Ferraresi is an associate professor of English language and translation at the University of Bologna, in the Department of Interpreting and Translation, where he also serves on the Board of the PhD programme in translation, interpreting and intercultural studies. He has a master’s in translation from the University of Bologna and a PhD from the University of Naples Federico II. His main research focus is on corpus-based translation studies, both descriptive and applied, with a specific interest in how corpora can inform research on translated language and enhance translation teaching. He has co-authored over 40 publications and worked as a freelance translator.
Since 2021 he has been coordinating the master’s in specialised translation at the University of Bologna. He is a member of the Terminology and Computer-Assisted Translation Centre, and principal investigator for the Italian national project UNITE (Universally Inclusive Technologies to practice English).
