European Day of Languages

Join Europe's annual celebration of linguistic diversity on 26 September. From interactive language cafés to online quizzes and mini-courses in various languages, discover activities designed to spark curiosity, connect communities and encourage people of all ages to enjoy and learn languages.

European Language Label

Apply to have your project recognised for innovation in language teaching and learning. Open to schools, universities and organisations at all educational levels, the European Language Label is an opportunity to gain national and European recognition, showcase your innovative methods and inspire others to promote multilingualism and cross-cultural understanding.

Juvenes Translatores

Compete in the EU's annual translation contest for 17-year-old secondary school students. Juvenes Translatores gives young people a chance to apply their language skills, discover other cultures and gain recognition at EU level. Winners enjoy a 3-day trip to Brussels, meeting EU translators and celebrating their achievement.

Translating Europe Forum

Connect with language professionals, researchers and students at our annual 3-day conference exploring the future of translation. From AI developments to industry challenges, take part in expert discussions, networking sessions and interactive workshops, gaining insights into emerging trends and innovations across the language sector.

Multilingualism workshops

Join DG Translation’s year-round multilingualism workshops across the EU to explore language diversity, language learning, emerging technologies and translation careers. Visiting Translator Scheme and visits

Connect and share knowledge with EU translators and other DG Translation experts. Host a visit or visit us online or on-site in Brussels and Luxembourg to discover translation tools, terminology, quality processes, AI-based multilingual work and EU career paths.
