This workshop explores the migratory challenges currently faced in the European Union, where increasing linguistic and cultural diversity is shaping contemporary societies. These dynamics stem not only from Europe’s historically diverse linguistic landscape but also from migration flows originating from across the globe. The coexistence of multiple linguistic, social and cultural realities within the same space may generate tensions and communication barriers, highlighting the need for professionals capable of mediating intercultural differences and facilitating effective communication.
The workshop aims to identify communication challenges related to languages of lesser diffusion in the EU, for which structured learning pathways are often limited or unavailable, and to explore potential solutions to address both present and future needs.
