Language fair – "As línguas unem-nos!"

Join us for a celebration of Europe’s languages and cultures, inspired by the rich multicultural diversity of local school communities.

This year’s European Day of Languages event will also mark 40 years of Portugal’s membership of the EU, as part of the celebrations promoted by the European Commission Representation in Portugal.

The event will offer an opportunity for participants of all ages to discover Europe’s linguistic diversity, celebrate cultural exchange and learn more about the EU in a fun and engaging environment.

The language fair will bring together schools, local organisations and European institutions for a day of interactive activities and entertainment, including:

• Language and Europe-themed stands, featuring activities such as speed language dating
• Music, dance or other performances by schools or local organisations
• Games, readings and a language treasure hunt, encouraging participants to explore and discover the answers to language-related challenges, with prizes provided by the Directorate-General for Translation (DGT)
