Taste in translation – a Translating Europe Workshop about food in translation

This workshop will explore the relationship of food to culture and language, from the angles of history and tradition, translation and terminology – with the aim of communicating about food and drink in a more informed way, especially in translation.
In keeping with the theme, the discussion will continue over some traditional Maltese food after the workshop.

The event will also be streamed online, with interpretation from Maltese to English. It is organised by DG Translation’s office in Valletta, in conjunction with the Department of Maltese and the Department of Translation, Terminology and Interpretation Studies at the University of Malta.
