Panayota (Yota) Georgakopoulou is a media localisation expert, specialising in the application of language technologies in the creative industries. She is the owner of Athena Consultancy. She has a PhD in translation and subtitling, and has published extensively. She is on the steering committee for the Languages & The Media conference, and is the founder of the Greece Chapter of Women in Localisation.
