Very low-value negotiated procedure 

We sometimes award a small number of external translation assignments through a negotiated procedure (a simplified procurement process used for very low-value contracts, where candidates may be invited directly to submit an offer).

Selection criteria

DG Translation expects all linguistic staff involved in the performance of the contract to have the professional competences set in ISO standard 17100 and reserves the right to ask for evidence of this, in particular if a delivered assignment is of poor quality.

By submitting a tender, a tenderer confirms that they have these capacities. 

Award criteria

The contract will be awarded to the tenderer having submitted the tender with the lowest price. The identification of the lowest tender among all those submitted will be automatically processed on the eXtra portal. In the event of equal quotes, the tenderer who first submitted a tender within the time limit for submission will be awarded the contract.

Participation in a negotiated procedure is open to all natural and legal persons falling within the scope of the EU Treaties. This includes all EU citizens, all natural persons having their domicile in the EU and all legal persons registered in the EU.

We  will only contact you if your language combinations, qualifications and experience match our needs. We may then ask you to provide additional documents to complete your application.
