DG Translation organises multilingualism workshops year-round across the EU. Topic areas include language diversity and skills, language technologies and AI-based tools, terminology, the development of the translation and language professions, and how translation contributes to society.

Audiences vary depending on the topic, from students, teachers and researchers to language professionals, technologists, jobseekers and general language enthusiasts.

- presentations of annual European Language Industry Survey results
- events celebrating translation and languages (e.g. International Translation Day, anniversaries of EU official languages)

Organisation
Workshops are often organised in cooperation with
- universities in the European Master's in Translation network
- local partners in the language industry.
