Use our tools to translate, generate and improve content in multiple languages. These tools use AI to build on the EU’s decades of professional translation expertise.

    In addition, you must be based in an EU country or a country affiliated with the Digital Europe programme.

eTranslation

The EU institutions’ official translation tool is built on decades of translation expertise and offers several styles of translation, including EU formal language. Use safe and secure neural machine translation to translate texts in common formats, or connect your apps and websites for multilingual communication in all EU official languages and some others.

eBriefing

Create background documents from up to 10 source files. Get a first draft in official or general style, with main messages, background and Q&A. Available in all EU official languages and some others.

eReply

Prepare replies to complex submissions. Get suggestions for a formal response, plus a full analysis of the original document. Available in all EU official languages and some others.

eSummary

Quickly summarise your documents. Get a concise version, with options ranging from a few pages to longer summaries. Available in all EU official languages and some others

Anonymisation

Protect privacy by automatically replacing or redacting names, places and other personal data. Use this tool to comply with data protection rules. Available in all EU official languages and some others.

WebText

Optimise website content for online readers. Text is rewritten in plain language, with clear headings and scannable structure like bullet points. Available in English, French and German, with other languages in development.

Accessible Text

Rewrite your text to make it more accessible. This tool applies 'easy-to-read' instructions to produce clear, comprehensible language for all audiences. Available in English, with other languages in development.

Multilingual Post

Generate short translations in multiple languages at once. Ideal for fast, consistent updates across social media channels, with an option to post directly on X. Available in all EU official languages and some others.

Speech-to-Text

Upload audio or video files for full transcriptions or subtitles. Useful for converting recordings of meetings, workshops or conferences into text. Available in all EU official languages and some others.

You’ll have to create an EU Login account if you don’t already have one, then register for eTranslation.
